Whitefish City Beach

Whitefish Lake is a 7-mile-long glacial lake located in Whitefish, Montana. One of the most popular public accesses is City Beach located near the lake's outflow. The park has a sandy beach, shaded grass area, designated swimming area, docks, gazebos, and picnic tables. During the summer, Whitefish Outfitters & Tours offers and kayak and paddleboard rentals. Burley’s at Whitefish City Beach provides a refreshment stand as well. A public boat dock is available with a launching fee.

A boat launch area is provided at City Beach. $10 for a day pass or $50 for a season pass. Dogs are not allowed at City Beach or the picnic areas. Bathrooms are open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Boat rentals are available- canoes and paddle boats. They are not allowed in the designated swimming area. From the launch area, one can paddle along the lake shore or boat down the Whitefish River. For gazebo rentals, please contact the Whitefish Parks & Rec Department.

Restrictions: No fishing or boating in the designated swimming area. No floaties/life jackets allowed in the "deep end" swimming platform. Life guards are on duty during the summer months.
